
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress who is a journalist, media personality, and singer. She has served as the judge for Britain's Got Talent, an ITV talent competition since 2007. On weekdays, she co-hosts Heart Breakfast radio with Jamie Theakston. Holden was born in Portsmouth in Hampshire. She spent much of her youth in Bishop's Waltham. When she was nine years old she joined the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden was also in TV in three seasons of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. Holden was also part of three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" which starred Geraldine McEwan and John Hannah. She co-starred with Bill Nighy and Tom Courtenay in Ready When You Are, Mr. McGill, a comedy drama by Jack Rosenthal. Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams are judges on Britain's Got Talent. She was a judge on Britain's Got Talent from 2006 to the year 2006.
